Cinema can be an attempt to overcome distance. Whether it is distance to a person, to other life forms such as plants, animals or stones, or distance to a distant time, distance to unlived history or to a war in a distant place. But cinema can also consciously distance itself. Distancing on a formal level is often an instrument to maintain respect, to make us viewers aware of the absence of a connection. This program aims to explore the movement of searching between these distances.
Based on these I designed the A La Distancia logo and visual ecosystem that accompanied the film program posters, socials and printed materials.
