City Hospitals

The target of the project was to improve the overall usability and user experience of the existing hospital information system* provided at Turkey’s City Hospitals— a large network of healthcare facilities built by the private sector and operated by the government.

The current HIS experience at City Hospitals was chaotic and outdated; the platform was challenging to use and learn, and slow due to technical infrastructure.

As the project team, we directed our focus on two user groups: hospital admissions clerks and doctors. For these users, we wanted to boost efficiency and productivity by creating a familiar and assistive interface, with the most accurate and high-quality experience design.

The vision for this redesign project to meet the current healthcare sector expectations by providing data insights, personalized assistance and offering a flexible design system based on the custom needs of every specialty, doctor, and clerk.

Our designs served as the foundation of the new system that will be implemented at City Hospitals (9 facilities and counting) all around Turkey. Our concept will also help the client enter the foreign markets with this hospital information system in the future.

I actively took part in the discovery phase of the project by going on field researches and interviews as well as guerrilla testing with our users. Besides these, me and my team conducted a co-creation workshop to better understand our users’ needs: doctors.

Turkcell Cloud Platform

Empowering Turkcell’s B2B Cloud Solution

This era has shown that cloud computing is one of the biggest investment areas in technology. Within this landscape, Turkcell Bulut positions itself as the local competitor in the market, offering businesses cloud solutions with reasonable prices under a trusted brand.

With an extensive infrastructure & facility network at hand, Turkcell Bulut needed to upgrade their digital platforms and customer experience, in order to show their true potential to prospective or existing clients.

Our work for Turkcell Bulut consists of building a responsive web environment (spanning mobile, tablet and desktop) with high standards in usability and aesthetics.

As the design team executing the project, we were responsible for every stage of our Design Thinking phases to tackle this highly complex challenge with a human-centric mindset.

As the project team, we started with understanding the problem. We made ourselves familiar with the product and its strategy with stakeholder meetings and benchmark studies.

Followed by  user interviews that helped us uncover main problems that users had. We also conducted a field visit to the data center.

We went through all flows with participants and we took notes where we spotted problems.

My team also planned and executed several workshops involving stakeholders in order to ideate around the to-be Turkcell Bulut digital experience.
