sonnen is a company in the energy industry headquartered in Wildpoldsried in the district of Oberallgäu, Germany. It produces home energy storage systems for private households and small businesses.
My role at sonnen as a working student started working with internal tools and supporting the Billing team. I worked to find out the main pain points of the tool's users. Conducted internal interviews to discover opportunities to improve the overall experience while also bringing the general visual language closer to the design system used by customer-facing sonnen products.
Then, I started to support the Customer Apps team by joining the Charger App, which was used by customers who used sonnen Batteries to charge their electric vehicles.
Within Charger team, I work closely with product owners, engineers, and other product designers within sonnen to improve the experience of the app.
My responsibilities includes:
- Updating the changes in the design system and the app's new branding in the charger app.
- Creating new flows for the new features, such as a scheduler for charger's smart mode.
- Updating the notifications and working for the latest help centre within the app to improve the overall usability and enhance the user experience.
